If you’re looking for an exciting adventure on a windy day in Jersey – well here it is… blokarting. Think go kart meets sailing… but on the sand propelled by the wind.
Witness 75 year old grannies shrieking gleefully as they overtake their grandkids, and watch as dads and mums go head to head – but most of all watch the enamel come off everyone’s teeth as the grins grow ever wider.
The blokart is easy to master, hand steered like a bike and there’s only one sail. We’ll give you a ten minute sailing and safety brief and then off you go. The thrill and the rush will blow you away!
Blokarting is a brilliant event for family, group activities and corporate events.
Blokarting is also a proven tool in the education environment, where school and youth groups benefit from the easy learning process. Blow-carting is also proving to be an excellent introduction to (wet) sailing in addition to a sport in its own right.
We have a mixture of both x-sails and blokarts in our fleet (14 in all) making us the largest provider of landsailing in Jersey = more people for you to race against.
Our Blokart activity takes place at our site in the middle if St Ouens Bay (Big Vern’s Slip), Jersey which is ideally exposed to all wind directions.
Blokarting takes place 3 hours before and after low tide.
* Out of respect and courtesy to other beach users we are very strict in restricting blo-karters to our demarcated track, which is designed to incorporate all aspects of land yachting including jives and upwind turns.

- Absolute Adventures is open for blokarts all year round (wind & tide permitting)
- Do we do shorter blokart sessions?
- Yes for groups of 6 or more we do 30 minute sessions for £15
- What do I need to bring?
- Trainers/shoes, warm clothing and gloves if it is cold.
- What ages do you cater for on the blokarts?
- From the 4 to the 80 year adventurer .We have a side cart for ages under 8
- How many people can go blokarting?
- Maximum amount of 10 blokarts on the track at one time. If you have a larger group we can rotate every 30 minutes and provide some side fun such as zorbing and beach games
- Do Absolute Adventures cater for corporate, parties and school groups?
- Yes blokarts can be part of a fun beach day or school group. We can accommodate groups of 80+ and can involve local surf schools and private hire of venue close to the blokart site
- Do I need to book in advance?
- Yes blokarting is very popular and booking in advance is recommended.
- Is blokarting safe?
- Blokarting is an extreme activity that does come with an element of risk but as an Approved Adventuremark and British Canoe Union Centre this certifies that our equipment, staff qualifications and relevant Health and Safety documents have been independently inspected and approved

- They are both trading names of land yachts similar in design.
